Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — A public hearing will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in Sidney City Council chambers concerning the electric and natural gas aggregation plan of operation and governance. The plans for both include information on member education, opt-out procedures, billing, obligations of an electric/natural gas supplier solicitation of bids, changes and termination of service and selection of an electric/natural gas supplier.

The regular council workshop meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. On the agenda include presentations of the Neighborhood Beautification award and summer recreation and pool report; discussions on I&I noncompliance issues and 5-year financial plan; review of upcoming Zoning Board and Planning Commission agendas; and review of prospective council agenda items for the next 30 days.

Jackson Center Community Improvement Corporation

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Community Improvement Corporation will be meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 9:30 a.m. in Council Chambers to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate.

New Bremen Board of Education

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Local Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. in the community room.

The board will consider school district goals for 2015-16, temporary whole-year appropriations, employment of several people, textbook adoption, bus schedules, a guidance counselor evaluation tool, payment in lieu of transportation for three students, an interim services agreement for prebond work and a field trip request.

Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education

PIQUA — Upper Valley Career Center will hold a special meeting of the Board of Education on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at 6 p.m. in the Adams Board Room of the main high school building. The board is expected to accept the resignation of Treasurer Paul Carpenter, and to begin discussion regarding the process for the search for a new treasurer.

Fairlawn Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Board of Education will meet Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 122 at Fairlawn School.

The board is expected to adopt a board policy, approve bus routes and approve a concert date. Following an executive session, the board will act on employment and accept a donation.

Shelby County Emergency Management Agency Advisory Council

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Emergency Management Agency Advisory Council will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, in the EMA Building, 800 Fair Road.

The council will update representatives from every Shelby County political subdivision on the status of the agency’s projects, grants, plans and training activities as they pertain to those districts through spring 2016.
