Sidney City Schools

SIDNEY — The Sidney City School Board will meet on Monday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. in the board of education building.

The board will hear a presentation from Principal Clayton Westerbeck on Sidney Alternative School, as well as an update on PT Services, Inc. from John Scheu. The board will also consider the purchase of two school buses at a cost not to exceed $225,000, and the purchase of a 19 unit bus video recording system at a total cost of $34,827.

The board will hire several staff members and adopt several policies. They will appointment Bill Ankney and Paul Hines to the Upper Valley CC Board for three years, and hear a recent report from them as well. Their 2017 organizational meeting will be set, and they will hold an executive session.

Sidney Records Commission

SIDNEY — The Sidney Records Commission will meet on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at 4 p.m. in the Administrative Conference Room in City Hall.

The commission will meet for the purpose of the disposal of municipal corporation records and to review applications for one-time disposal of obsolete records and schedules of records retention and disposition submitted by municipal offices.

Sidney Tree Board

SIDNEY — The Sidney Tree Board will meet on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at 4 p.m. in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

The board will discuss hazardous trees on private properties, the DP&L Tree Grant planting pictures, the Lodging Tax Committee request, as well as the Tree City USA submitted application.
