Runners from all over the area participate in the Running Raider 5K, as part of the Russia Homecoming Festival, Labor Day weekend 2015.

RUSSIA – The Russia Homecoming festival over Labor Day Weekend was a big success, said Head Chair Person Angie Barlage.

Barlage reported large crowds on both Saturday and Sunday with long lines at the lunch stand throughout most of the festival. While daytime temperatures reached the lower 90s, there was no rain, which led to a successful event. The following are results from different contests that took place over the weekend:

50/50 Winners: Paul Penny, Saturday; Elaine Goubeaux, Sunday.

Texas Hold ‘Em: Steve Young, first; Brad Francis, second; Steve Monnin, third.

Volleyball Tournament: Craig Muhlenkamp, Michelle Muhlenkamp, Doug Muhlenkamp, Trina Winner, Keith Schlater, and Janelle Slonkosky, first; Isaiah Counts, Camille Puthoff, Kylie Wilson, Claire Sherman, Bailey Francis, and Cole McEldowney, second.

Adult cornhole: Ray Monnin and Travis Jess, first; Chett Borchers and Colin Puthoff, second; Dane Borchers and Dan Russ, third; Austin Gariety and Treg Francis, fourth.
