CINCINNATI — Legendary baseball great Pete Rose will speak during a theatrical event, July 11, at 7 p.m., in the Taft Theatre, 317 E. 5th St., Cincinnati.

“An Evening with Pete Rose” will recreate the feeling of going back to the ballpark to see the iconic baseball legend in action. With a field-style set, the audience will get the sense that they are actually at Riverfront Stadium, cheering on Rose and the Reds.

The show is a journey that not only takes the audience through Rose’s amazing career as a Cincinnati Red, but it also will give them insight into his personal life. With stories about his struggles and successes as a kid, the audience learns what exactly made Rose the player he turned out to be.

Rose will also share what life was like on the field as a teammate, player, and student of the game. The climax of the show will take the audience to the historic game where Rose broke the all-time hits record. “The Hit” is relived by Rose when he shares what exactly was going through his mind when he broke Ty Cobb’s record for career hits – 4,192 – and became the best slugger in history.

Tickets cost $32.50-$125 plus fees. They are available at www.ticketmaster.com.
