SIDNEY — Jessica Fortkamp, of Sidney, has been named the new donor relations director of the Community Foundation of Shelby County.

She will be a point of contact for people who have established charitable funds, as well as those who are considering a fund to benefit causes and projects in Shelby County. She will also be a resource for attorneys, accountants, insurance professionals and financial advisors who are assisting clients with charitable giving.

“I am excited about my new role at the Foundation and hope to be an asset to the already established team,” said Fortkamp.

The Community Foundation of Shelby County administers 150 charitable funds established by local people to benefit charities, award scholarships and enhance the region. The $27 million foundation has distributed more than $2.1 million so far this year. They welcome individuals from throughout the county who want to support an aspect of their community through a long-term charitable fund.

Fortkamp and her husband Doug are Minster natives who have resided in Sidney since 2010. They have two daughters, Kaitlyn and Brooklyn. Jessica has worked in the area of development at Dayton Children’s Hospital the past five years.
