SIDNEY – The 36th Annual Rebel Run Rod & Custom Nationals is a four-day national car show featuring hot rods, customs and classic cars of all makes and models.

It will roll into the Shelby County Fairgrounds Sept. 17-20. It will open at noon Thursday and last through 3 p.m. Saturday. All activities will be held at the fairgrounds except for the parade downtown on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

There will be music filling each day, karaoke, games, raffles, contests and trivia.

The model car contest will be held on Saturday. An additional class will be added this year for peddle cars.

They will be having muffler rapping, burnout, and flamethrowing contests, on both Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m.

Something different this year is that they are going to have an awards banquet on Saturday night after the contests in the grandstands. There will be refreshments, a band, and a dance floor. This will run from 7 to 9 p.m.

There are more activites being planned and finalized and will be on their website as soon as they become official.

Vendors of any kind are welcome, and there are plenty of camping spaces available. The cost to enter a car in the show is $35. All entries receive a free t-shirt.

Information about the event and how to register can be found on their website http://therebelrun.com/.
