Search warrant yields arrests, recovery of cash, jewelry, silver

SIDNEY — Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a large amount of cash, jewelry, and silver bars, which were all stolen from the county, after executing a search warrant on Thursday at a Sidney residence.

On Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at approximately 3 p.m., Deputies served a search warrant at 303 N. West Ave., Sidney. The request for the search warrant was based on evidence that the residents were holding stolen property from burglaries in the county.

Arrested at the scene were Tiffany A. Roe, 27, of Sidney, and Blake O. Stephens, 19 of Sidney. Both were incarcerated in the Shelby County jail on charges of burglary and theft.

As a result of the continuing investigation Robert O. Crawford, 20, of Sidney, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at 303 N. West Ave., Sidney. Crawford was incarcerated in the Shelby County jail on two counts of burglary.

Roe and Stephens were working for a cleaning company called Dream Clean of Sidney. The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have had this company cleaning for them may want to check for missing items and if you suspect you have been a victim, you are urged to call Chief Deputy Jim Frye at 937-494-2117.

Additional charges are expected to be presented to the prosecutor for the next grand jury.
