SIDNEY — The Shelby County commissioners got an update during a recent meeting from Energy Systems Group on the status of energy-efficiency improvement work at the Shelby County Courthouse.

They approved a payment in the amount of $195,868.97 to Energy Systems Group. The project is expected to be completed on schedule by the end of September.

In other business, the commission:

• Approved the purchase of salt for the maintenance department at a cost of $4,091.40.

• Approved ditch maintenance assessments and certified to auditor for collection in 2016.

• Approved a Shelby County Department of Job and Family Services Children Services Division placement and related services contract between SCDJFS and Mohican Youth Academy for an amount not to exceed $75,000.

• Approved quote in the amount of $22,800 from Lochard Inc. for replacement of motors, lighting and additional maintenance to the fountains on the courtsquare.
