SIDNEY —The Sidney City Airport will get $148,551 in federal funds to repair taxiway pavement and purchase new snow-removal equipment.

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, announced the awarding of the U.S. Department of Transportation funds Friday.

“This federal investment is great news for the region and will enhance safety and operations at Sidney City Airport,” Brown said. “These improvements will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
