SIDNEY — The Wilson Health Foundation Golf Classic raised more than $43,000 during its 21st annual event Sept. 1 at Shelby Oaks Golf Club.

After this year’s event, the total of net funds raised since inception in 1995 is $823,250.

The high point of the event was not just one hole-in-one, but two aces. Scott Guggenbiller, Sidney, won a trip to Las Vegas with his shot on No. 8 South, a distance of 170 yards. Carter Angell, Fishers, Indiana, hit a shot of 130 yards on No. 3 South winning a trip to Michigan. Buckeye Ford Lincoln of Sidney sponsored four hole-in-one prizes including a two-year lease on an F150 Truck and a set of Wilson clubs that went unclaimed.

Mark Dunham was the winner of the closest-to-the-pin prize, a one-week stay in a Westin Resort villa at Hilton Head courtesy of the Wilson Health Foundation.

Ed Borchers and Fred Schmiesing split the $200 purse for the putting contest also sponsored by Wilson Health Foundation.

Dr. Prashanth Kumar was the lucky winner of a three-night stay in a tower guest room at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa in Reno.

Overall first place winners of the event included the team of Ed Borchers, Carter Angell, and Mike Kiley. Second place winners were the team of Josh Dziedzicki, John Eve, Lisa Hurt and Cindy McDermott. Third place winners were the US Bank Team of Norm Barhorst, Tim Giese, Charlie Rhyan, and Andy Counts.
