VERSAILLES — Rhylan Broerman, 6, of Yorkshire was named “Little Miss Poultry Days” at the 31st annual Little Miss Poultry Days Contest Friday.
Rhylan is the daughter of Nick and Amber Broerman.
First Runner Up was Averi Ahrns, 4, of Yorkshire, daughter of Karl and Tyanna Ahrns. Caleigh Stebbins, 5, of Greenville, daughter of Jason and Mindy Stebbins, was named Second Runner Up.
A total of 24 girls, aged 4 to 6, competed for the honor. The contestants’ costumes incorporated poultry and baseball, reflecting the theme of this year’s festival “Take Me Out to Poultry Days.”
The young ladies were judged on the originality and theme of their attire, as well as their personality, poise and ability to speak.
Ken DeMange served as master of ceremonies. Members of the 2014 Miss Chick Court escorted the contestants to the staging area.

Contest judges this year were Angie Long, Rebecca Vagedes and Sheila Knapke. Little Miss Poultry Days Chairperson is Kimberly Hecht.
