NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Pumpkinfest will be celebrating its 11th year this year on Sept. 25 and 26 at Crown Pavilion.

The fest will start at 4 p.m. Friday and end at midnight Saturday.

Some of the big events this year include the Great Pumpkin Roll Bike Ride. The 60 mile ride will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the 20 and 30 mile rides will begin at 9 a.m. Registration starts at 7 a.m. Interested participants may also register online at www.speedy-feet.com. The entry fee is $25 with a t-shirt, $10 without a t-shirt, and $15 same day registration without a t-shirt. For more information contact Nathan Niekamp at 419-305-0980.

The His and Her Raffle’s grand prize this year is a one-year dinner and a movie. It includes 12 area restaurant gift certificates and 24 movie passes to Lock One Theatre.

First prize is a $750 gift certificate to Gilberg’s Furniture in New Bremen or a $750 gift certificate to True Value Hardware in Minster. Second prize is a green Egg Smoker Grill or a Landscape Fountain from M.A.H The Urban Garden in Celina, both valued at $700. Third prize is his and hers Seiko Watches from Hudson’s Jewelers Inc. in St. Marys. Fourth prize is a CVA Wolf Muzzle Loader and a $200 gift certificate to New Bremen Massage Clinic.

The 4th Annual Artisan Showcase will be held on Saturday from 1o a.m. to 8 p.m. The showcase will highlight area Artisans that create jewelry, art photography, stained and blown glass, sculptures, and more. They will have a total of 26 vendors this year.

The kids inflatables open at 10 a.m. and the kids pie-eating contest is at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The corn-hole tournament starts at 3 p.m. and sign-up begins at 2:30 p.m.

On Friday, the band Jelloship will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Forgery at Best will perform from 8 to 8:45 p.m., and Top Shelf will perform from 9 p.m. to midnight.

On Saturday, Josh Smedley will perform from 11:30 a.m. to noon., Trey Stone & The Ringers will perform from 4 to 6 p.m., Beth Magers will perform from 6 to 9 p.m., and Roots of A Rebellion will perform from 9 p.m. to midnight.
