ODOT seeks public comments

SIDNEY – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects:

• D07-RW VAR(A), PID 99863 – ODOT proposes to acquire right-of-way at five existing culvert systems located in Champaign, Darke, Logan and Mercer Counties. The project is necessary to bring the existing culvert systems fully into the public right-of-way and allow for necessary maintenance on the deteriorated culverts.

• MOT-Schantz Bridge, PID 103811– The City of Kettering proposes to replace the existing bridge carrying Schantz Avenue over northbound South Dixie Highway in the City of Kettering. The project is necessary to address the deterioration of the existing bridge.

Comments may be submitted by contacting the individual below. Issues the public may wish to comment on include, but are not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Comments should be submitted by Friday, March 3, 2017.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for the above projects are being, or have been, carried-out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
