SIDNEY — The Perry Township Trustees held its 2017 reorganization meeting on Dec. 28, 2016, at 7 pm.
Matthew Barhorst will be the chairman for 2017 with Mark Henman as vice chairman. Abby Vondenhuevel was rehired as Perry Township superintendent and road maintenance. She received a 2 percent increase in wages.
The regular township meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of every month at 7 p.m. except for the following months: Monday, July 17, Monday, Nov. 20, Wednesday, Dec. 28, regular and year end meeting at 6 p.m. with the reorganization meeting for 2018 to follow.
Part time and contracted labor will be paid the state minimum wage at $8.15 per hour.
Tom Thornton was rehired as zoning and fire officer.
The Township approved to set as emergency appropriations in the amount of $30,000.
Zoning Board members will receive $20 per meeting that they attend and the regional planning representative will receive $25 per meeting attended.
Cedar Point Cemetery made the following changes in pricing: Increase concrete to $30; increase Saturday (a.m. and p.m.) and Sunday funerals to $600; and increase holiday funerals to $750,
Zoning fees will stay at the current charges.
The EMA representative from Perry Township will be Mark Henman. The PPS Ambulance District Board Representative will be Matthew Barhorst.
