Jumping for Hearts


Taking part in the American Heart Association assembly event that is part of “Jumping for Hearts” at Emerson Elementary Friday, Feb. 3 are, left to right, Jaylee McDaniel, 11, daughter of Shirley and Jerry Milbourn, Hayden Murray, 9, son of Rachel Wilson, and Kayla Perry, 9, all of Sidney, daughter of Teresa and Shedrick Perry. Students are spending most of February learning how to live a healthy long life, honor those with heart problems, and learning hump rope skills. Kids that chose to are also helping to raise money for heart research and education. The goal is $3,333. Last year the school raised $2,889.
