Anna Board of Education

ANNA — The Anna Local Schools Board of Education will meet Monday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 209 at the middle school.

Reports will be given from the elementary school, middle school and high school. The treasurer and superintendent will also give reports. The board will act on recommendations to adopt the 2017-18 school calendar and award supplemental contracts. An executive session is planned to discuss the employment of public employees.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet Monday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers in the Municipal Building.

They will hear a presentation on the small cell towers and Raise the Roof for the Arts — Backstage Block Party. There also will be a public hearing on the 2017 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

It is expected for council to adopt two ordinances for special assessments for the construction and replacement of certain described sidewalks and for supplemental appropriations for 2017.

Council will also be introduced one ordinance to amend the traffic control map to establish a “No Parking” zone on the east side of Wilkinson Avenue beginning at the south cube line of Culvert Street proceeding 400-feet to the south.

Council is also expected to adopt three resolutions for declaring the necessity of constructing and repairing certain city sidewalks and requiring abutting property owners repair the same; to give authorization of the city manager to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the traffic signal upgrade project at the intersection of state Route 47 and Fourth Avenue; and a resolution to strongly oppose Ohio Governor John Kasich’s proposed 2017-2018 budget, which proposes centralized collection of net profit tax returns and other provisions related to the municipal income tax that could cause a substantial loss of revenue.

In addition, council will also hold an executive session for pending or imminent court action.

Fort Loramie Village Council

FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Village Council will meet in regular session at 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13.

The council will consider amending water and sanitary sewer rates, and agreement for trash collection, exterior maintenance codes, a Liberty Days donation, the relocation of communications service facilities, school sidewalks and the sale of property.

The council will also be updated on the Main Street and Redskin Memorial Park projects and plans to go into executive session to discuss possible litigation.

Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY —The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 4 p.m. in council chambers.

The board will consider the request of Synergy Building Systems for a variance to allow a parking space depth of 18-feet where 20-feet is the minimum allowed, to allow a grass area separation between the street and parking facility of 5-feet where 10-feet is the minimum required and to allow a drive aisle width of 24.5-feet where 25-feet is the minimum required at 300 Third Ave. in the community business district.

Sidney City Planning Commission

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

The board will consider the request of Choice One Engineering, on behalf of Peter and Gail Frantz, for the replat of one lot to create two news lot at the southern terminus of University Drive and west of Doorley Road in the single family and multi-family residential districts, and the request of Synergy Building Systems, on behalf of JB VII LLC, for the replat of nine parcels to create one new lot, located north of Michigan Street, east Third Avenue and south of Forest Street in the community business district.

Sidney Compensation Board

SIDNEY — The Sidney Compensation Commission will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. in City Hall to set salaries for the mayor and council members.

In accordance with Section 2-12 of the city’s charter, the commission is to meet every odd-numbered year prior to March 1 to make determination of salaries for these elected officials. In 2013, the annual salaries were established at $4,000 for council members and $5,000 for the mayor. The salaries remained unchanged in 2015.

Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services

TROY — The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services will meet Wednesday Feb. 15, at 6:45 p.m. in the Marianne Helmlinger Board Room, 1100 Wayne St., Suite 4000, Troy.

Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health

SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Board of Health will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, in Health Department Conference Room, 202 W. Poplar St.

The board will consider renewing a contract with Dr. Paul Weber as medical director, changes in the fee schedule, and a meth lab clean-up policy variance request by Spearman Properties for 221 1/2 West Ave.
