SIDNEY — In January, personnel of the Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services responded to 288 EMS calls and 74 fire calls for a total of 362 calls compared to 320 calls in January 2016.

Personnel conducted in-house training in fire incident management, EMS refresher, blue card, TRT (technical rescue team) rope and GMVEMS (Greater Miami Valley Emergency Medical Services) protocol training in January.

The fire prevention division performed 68 inspections: 29 annual inspections, 27 re-inspections and handled two complaints.
