SIDNEY — With two weeks to go before the doors open at the Historic Sidney Theatre for the “Frozen Sing Along,” organizers have announced the event is sold out. A total of 800 tickets have been sold for this exclusive event.

“We knew this event was going to be a popular but to sell 800 tickets seemed steep. I was nervous and excited all at the same time.” said Executive Director Sarah Barr. “To be sold out with a few weeks to go just shows how extraordinary this event is and how lucky we are to have the overwhelming support of our community.”

Raise the Roof for the Arts expressed its appreciation to its community partners Alvetro Orthodontics, Sidney Shelby County YMCA and Readmore Hallmark (Piqua) as onsite ticketing agents. Each location shared the same enthusiasm for the event and made it more convenient for the community to get tickets, said Barr.

“This is an exclusive event for Sidney and Shelby County and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the Tampa Theatre in Tampa, Florida.” said Barr.

The two met through their involvement with the League of Historic American Theatres and through this relationship the Historic Sidney Theatre was able to get contacts for Disney and secured the royalties for “The Frozen Sing- Along” on Oct. 10-11.

“We are thankful to have the guidance from both Disney and The Tampa Theatre too successfully produce this event.” Barr continued “This is an exciting sneak peek to the kinds of events the Historic Sidney Theatre will deliver in its future programming.”

On both Saturday and Sunday, Picture Perfect will begin taking pictures at 1:30 p.m., the auditorium doors will be open at 2:30 p.m. and the Sing-Along will start promptly at 3 p.m.
