Animal causes power outage

SIDNEY — An animal was the cause of a power outage in Sidney Monday morning.

According to a spokesperson for DP&L, an animal got into a power substation and damaged some of the equipment inside. Crews were on the scene at 4:35 a.m. Monday to begin restoring power to 9,900 customers. Pioneer Rural Electric customers also lost their power, which was restored first said the spokesperson.

Power was restored to all customers by 6:30 a.m.
