BOTKINS — Basketball coach Brett Meyer will keep his job for another year.

By a vote of 4 to 1, the Botkins Board of Education voted Tuesday, May 16, to retain Meyer as varsity boys basketball coach.

It had been an open question during the last several months whether Meyer’s contract would be renewed. Botkins residents packed the March and April meetings of the board, and at each session, several people spoke in support of Meyer. The board moved into executive session in both months and heard comments from students concerning the coach.
