SIDNEY — During a recent meeting, Shelby County commissioners renewed the 1/2 percent sales tax for a five-year term beginning April 1, 2018, and designated that income from the tax be split between the Engineers’s Road and Bridge Fund and the Capital Improvement Fund.o March 31, 2023.

In other action, the commissioners:

• Authorized replacing an existing “Yield” sign with a “Stop” sign at the Fessler Buxton-Kaser Road intersection, which will establish a stop condition on Fessler Buxton Road, west-bound at the Kaser Road intersection.

• Authorized bids for the 2017 highway paint-striping program to be opened July 20 at 11 a.m.
