Commission OKs replat

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of a replat of two lots to create one new lot at 127 W. Parkwood St. in the single family residence district, Monday evening.

The board recommended City Council approve Britt Havenar’s request on behalf of Corey Shreves for the replat that is currently developed as a single family dwelling.

Commission Board member Patricia Miller asked Community Services Director Barbara Dulworth if the replat request was basically to bring the paperwork up to date, since the home is already built on two lots. Dulworth said yes.

Board member David Gross asked if when the dwelling was originally built they knew they were building on two lots and if that is normally accepted? Dulworth said she assumes they knew it was on two lots. She said after the original lots were platted everything was shifted so that almost every house in the area is also on a portion of an adjacent lot. She said that before her time with the city and is no longer acceptable.

Board member Steven Klingler was absent and was excused by the board.
