Sidney Recreation Board
SIDNEY —The Sidney Recreation Board will meet Monday, Aug. 7, at 4:15 p.m., in council chambers in the Municipal Building.
The board will discuss the Riverbend Park play structure, the Great Miami Riverway coordinator tour of Sidney and Jim Stewart’s retirement.
The board will also discuss the Eagle Scout projects including, a trail extension at the end of Whipp Road, a tree planting at Roadside Park and Deam Park. They will also discuss the United Way Day of Caring with Peerless Food Equipment at Riverbend Park, Wilson Health at Roadside Park, U.S. Bank at Sherman Park and Choice One Engineering at Lodge Soccer Fields.
The board will further discuss the Parks and Recreation Department’s upcoming photo contest.
Sidney City Council
SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will hold a workshop session meeting on Monday, Aug. 7, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers in the Municipal Building.
There will be a presentation on the wastewater plant capacity versus industrial growth, on stormwater management plan updates, water plant capacity versus future growth, the city’s sewer inflow and infiltration (I &I) update and on utility billing.
Council will review the upcoming Zoning Board/Planning Commission Agenda for Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, and review the prospective City Council Agenda items for the next 30 days.
In addition, council will also hold an executive session to consider the purchase of property for public purposes, the appointment of a public official and for the discipline of a public employee.
Jackson Center Village Council
JACKSON CENTER — Jackson Center Village Council will hold a special meeting Monday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to amend an ordinance in the zoning code from R-1 single family residential District to I-1 General Industrial District on Main Street. An emergency is expected to be declared so the ordinance can be adopted during the meeting.
Loramie Township Trustees
RUSSIA — The Loramie Township trustees will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 8, in the Russia Fire House.
All meetings are open to the public.
Sidney Enterprise Zone Negotiating Team
SIDNEY — The Sidney Enterprise Zone Negotiating team will meet Wednesday, Aug 9, at 9 a.m., in the city council chambers to discuss the application from Freshway Foods and Perfection Bakeries, also known as Aunt Millie’s Bakeries.
New Bremen Board of Education
NEW BREMEN — The regular meeting of the New Bremen Board of Education has been changed to Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.
Midwest Regional Educational Service Center
BELLEFONTAINE — The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center Board of Education will meet in special session, Thursday, Aug. 10, at 9 a.m.
The meeting will be in the ESC office, 121 Opera St., Bellefontaine.
Fairlawn Board of Education
SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Local School District’s Board of Education will meet Thursday, Aug. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 122 at the school.
Items on the agenda include administrative and board reports, a proposal to change the graduation date for 2018, and personnel items dealing with resignations and employment.
