SIDNEY — Downtown Sidney will host Fall Fest, Saturday, Oct. 17, on the courtsquare.

The event will comprise a costume contest for children up to 12, pumpkin-carving prizes for people 6 and older and trick-or-treating at downtown businesses and farmer’s market vendors.

Carved pumpkins must be received by 10 a.m. for the contest. There is a $2 entry fee. Prizes will be awarded at 1 p.m. to pumpkins carved by children 6-9, 10-13, 14-17 and 18 and older.

Children participating in the costume contest must register between 10 and 10:45 a.m. Judging will begin at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded in age groups up to 3, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-12.

Trick-or-treating will take place from 11 a.m. to noon.
