MARIA STEIN — The 2015 Country Fest winners are as follows:

The Grand Prize winner of $2,000 from the raffle was Norma O’Reilly, of Minster.

$500 went to Werner Holheide, of St. Henry.

$300 went to Kay Sanders, of Minster.

$200 went to Eileen Stelzer, of Coldwater.

$100 went to Jim Shank, of Canal Winchester, Ohio.

$50 winners were: Teri Spoltman, of Maria Stein; Kevin Saintigenon, of Maria Stein; Deanna Sutherland, of Trotwood Ohio; April Bertke, of Elpaso, Texas; and Larry Post, of St. Henry.

Mini-Indy Race

Four-year-old: Vince Hess

Five-year-old: Isaac Hartings

Six-year-old: Breanna McCoy

Mercer Health 5k Run/Walk

Best time was Spencer Schulze 17:42. Best Female was Ashley Lefeld 19:01. The youngest runner was 6-years-old and finished 244. The oldest runner was 74 and finished 256. There was a total of 342 runners.

A special thanks to those who purchased the Woodcarvings by the Kuennings. Do to their generousity The Maria Stein Country Fest was able to donate $600 each to Fisher House, Wounded Heros and Battle Buddy Foundation. The double eagle bench was purchased by Kent Shaner, the heart by Pleiman Landscaping, the smiley face by Pleiman Landscaping, the toadstool by Reliable tent, the penquin by Winners Meat, the palm tree by Plieman Landscaping, the tiki statue by Bender Electric and the Notre Dame emblem by Jason Ranly.

A very speacial thank you to everyone who went the extra mile through the muddy conditions to salvage an other wise unsuccessful Country Fest. Much of the entertainment had to be moved or cancelled completly do to the wet conditions of the grounds. Thank You to all who came out to The Country Fest dispite the conditions to make it a success. We hope to see you next year with better conditions and better weather.
