DAYTON — Wright State Physicians has moved its geriatrics office from Centerville to the Wright State Physicians Health Center on the campus of Wright State University (725 University Blvd., Fairborn, OH 45324). The practice will begin seeing geriatric patients at the health center on Oct. 31.

Wright State Physicians Geriatrics provides comprehensive, expert geriatric care for older adults, focusing on the relationship between managing diseases and maintaining function and quality of life.

“This new clinic location is an exciting opportunity to build on the department’s long tradition of providing high quality primary care for older adults, with a focus on team-based care for those with memory loss and their caregivers, as well as establishing a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment Clinic,” said Daniel Swagerty, M.D., M.P.H., director of Wright State Physicians Geriatrics and chair of the Department of Geriatrics at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. “The clinic will provide multiple services designed to promote healthy aging in the Dayton area and southwest Ohio.”

In addition, a team of expert professionals will perform comprehensive assessments for common geriatric conditions such as falls, memory concerns, decline in function and many more health care challenges facing older adults.
