SIDNEY — A Sidney man appeared in the Shelby County Common Pleas Court Monday morning to change his plea to guilty.

Kenneth F. Clegg, Jr., 34, was charged with, and originally plead not-guilty to five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, felonies of the third degree.

In the plea agreement he plead guilty to the first count on the condition the other four counts were dismissed.

According to court records, Clegg was indicted on April, 9, 2015, for events happening in September 2014 through January 2015. All of the charges say, “he, being 10 or more years older than the other person, did have sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old juvenile.”

According to the plea agreement, because it was a sex crime, he will have to file as a sexual offender and serve five years mandatory probation. The maximum prison time he can get is five years and the maximum fine he would have to pay is $10,000.

His sentencing is set for Dec. 8, 2015, at 1:30 p.m.
