SIDNEY — The Sidney Noon Kiwanis Club has named Aaron Jensen its September 2015 Teen of the Month.

Jensen is a senior at Sidney High School and ranks first in his class with a grade point average of 4.34.

He is the son of Ken and Sherri Jensen. He has one brother, Andrew, 19.

His academic activities, honors and awards include being a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Academia Team and student government. Jensen was JV Ohio History Bee Winner in 2014, the 2013-2014 American Legion Americanism and Government State Winner, received the 2015 Honda Math Medal and was on the 2014-2015 GWOC North Academia winning team.

Among his extracurricular and community activities and awards, Jensen is a member of the swim team, was a 2015 Buckeye Boys State delegate, helps tutor at First Class Tutoring and helps with the American Legion Chicken Fry.

After high school, Jensen plans to pursue a college degree in engineering.
