NEW BREMEN — An 11-year-old New Bremen girl who has a unique talent for impersonating animals will be featured on the “HARRY” Show Monday, Jan. 29.
Lilly Wilker, daughter of Amy and Tom Wilker, of New Bremen, was invited to appear on the Harry Connick Jr. show.
“His producer contact us via her fan page,” said Amy Wilker. “We went to New York City for the filming.”
The show was taped on Dec. 14, she said.
“It’s more of a face-to-face interview,” said Amy. Lilly had also appeared on Steve Harvey’s “Little Big Shots” in March 2017 where she showcased her talent for mimicking animal sounds.
“She’s appear on a segment called ‘Show us what you’ve got’ on the ‘HARRY’ show,” said Wilker. “Lilly told her story on the show. She talked about her passions and what she wants to be when she grows up. They also asked how old she was when she started (doing animal impersonations).”
In addition to the ‘HARRY’ show, Lilly will also be appearing on WonderRama (WonderramaTV.com) on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 3-4.
“She filmed that show in August,” said Wilker.
Amy said it’s always an honor for Lilly to receive a phone call from someone wanting her to appear on a show.
“It’s been an amazing journey,” said Wilker. “She has a rare talent.”
Wilker said Amy has been contacted by “America’s Got Talent” about auditioning for the show.
“Lilly doesn’t want to do anything competitive,” said Wilker. “She just wants to have fun.”
The “HARRY” show airs Monday at 2 p.m. on WLIO-TV, NBC, Lima, and at 3 p.m. Monday and 1:07 a.m. Tuesday on WKEF-TV, ABC, Dayton.
Lilly is currently a fifth-grade student at New Bremen Middle School.
