SIDNEY — A savings account has been opened at Universal 1 Credit Union, 2835 Michigan St., to receive donations in support of a Sidney girl’s efforts to attend the National Junior Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., this summer.

Kayla L. Smith, 12, daughter of Crystal and Kenneth Smith, was profiled in a Sidney Daily News article Saturday.

Donations can be made in person at the credit union. Checks, payable to U1CU, with “account of Kayla L. Smith” in the memo line, can be mailed to Universal 1 Credit Union, P.O. Box 907, Sidney, OH 45365.
