Voters select winners in contested trustee races

SHELBY COUNTY — Voters in four Shelby County townships cast ballots in contested trustee races Tuesday. Unofficial results are as follows:

* Incumbent Roger Schulze will continue to serve Franklin Township, earning 606 votes Tuesday. His opponent Michael Christman received 396 votes.

* In Green County, incumbent Keith V. Gump won with 196 votes. Jason A. Worley received 163 votes.

* McClean Township voters chose newcomer Craig A. Bergman on Tuesday with 609 votes. Incumbent William J. Meyer received 587 votes.

* Washington Township incumbent Douglas K. Stangel will continue in office, with 410 votes to the 150 votes cast for opponent Mark Nishwitz.
