TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Area Arts Council has announced that Nov. 23 is the deadline for teams to register to participate in its gingerbread house-decorating contest.

The event will be Dec. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Monroe Township Building, Third and Main streets, Tipp City.

Teams can comprise up to four people of any age. Each team will have two and a half hours to decorate a house. They must provide their own decorations. Icing is provided.

The participation fee is $32 per team for first-time competitors. That purchases a candy cottage gingerbread house for decorating and icing. Returning teams pay a fee of $20 and must use their candy cottage gingerbread houses from previous years.

Judging will be on originality/creativity, holiday design and spirit/effort/energy.
