Sidney-Shelby County YMCA gymnasts bring home awards; qualify for Nationals Championship

SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA gymnastics team traveled to the Darke County YMCA in Greenville for its first competition of the season.

The Y gymnasts captured 35 first place; 34 second place and 23 third place individual awards along with two first place and four second place team awards.

The following gymnasts qualified for a chance to compete at the 78th YMCA Gymnastics Nationals Championship in Long Beach, California, on June 30-July 3: Hannah Shoemaker, Hannah Pack, Alexis Shannon, Logan Frasure, Hannah Fawcett, Kaylee Freund, Hannah Raterman, Bethany Althauser, Brianna Holtzapple, Ava Parin, Andrea Rodeheffer, Morgan Sherpherd, Madelyn Bockrath, Emily Tingler, Megan Miu, Kieysha Rismiller, Kayli Brewer, Courtney Fox, Shelby Hamm, Lila Echemann, Leilani Serrano, Addison Swearingen and Addison Albers.
