Fort Loramie-UVCC FFA hosts Farmer’s Share Luncheon

FORT LORAMIE — In observance of National Ag Day, the Fort Loramie-UVCC FFA Chapter hosted a Farmer’s Share Luncheon at Fort Loramie High School on Tuesday, March 20.

The event was held to educate those in attendance of how their food dollar is distributed amongst all parties involved in getting food from farm to table. There were a total 96 community members, staff, students and leaders of the community including the town’s mayor, chief of police, supporters of the FFA and the Shelby County commissioners.

During the luncheon the county commisioners presented the Fort Loramie-UVCC FFA officers with a Proclamation for their efforts. This event was made possible by the sponsorship of Fort Loramie Young Farmers, Fancy Cakes by Peg Pleiman, Eilerman Insurance, Kevin Goubeaux Trucking, Larger Transport, Wagner’s IGA, Risse Meiring and Co., and Deloye & Co.
