Loramie Watershed Association to hold annual meeting

FORT LORAMIE — The Loramie Watershed Association will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on Monday, Feb. 11. The meeting will be held at the Fort Loramie American Legion starting at 8 p.m. and is open to the public.

The meeting will consist of an overview of the organization’s past years activities and the election of new board members. There are four guest speakers who have agreed to speak at this year’s meeting. Jason Whitman is the Lake Loramie State Park manager and will give an update of activities at the Lake Loramie State Park. Overview of the new Spillway at Lake Loramie and how it is functioning will be presented by the Southwest District Manager of Ohio State Parks & Watercraft Brian Miller. Shelby County SWCD Administrator Jason Bruns will update members of any new information from the Soil and Water Conservation District Division. Shelby County Engineer Bob Geuy will present and overview of the ditch maintenance program and how it benefits the association members.

The Loramie Watershed Association works with its members to educate and promote good management practices that they can utilize to help protect water quality. Anyone who owns 10 or more acres within the watershed is eligible to join the Loramie Watershed Association and is welcomed to attend this meeting.
