Sidney FFA competes at contests

Sidney FFA members had the opportunity to compete at either the county or district soil judging contests. Each student judged soil based on its use for residential and commercial construction. They also performed tests on soil structure, texture, slope and drainage. The county event took place at Dell-Delight Farms and the district event took place at the Sycamore State Park Outlook. Students participating included Ryan Ahrens, Nathanial Eichelberger, Dakota Copeland, Tidiane Dia, Kyle Emans, Trevor Jones, Jarred Kirk, Blake Kizer and Jenna Smith.
