SIDNEY — The Ohio Holstein Association Spring Sale was held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Shelby County Fairgrounds, Sidney, Ohio. The 63 live lots consigned to the sale averaged $2,235. Twelve consignments sold for $3000 and up. Consignments sold to The Netherlands, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

Lot 6 $7,900 Consigned by Connor Erbson, Lanark, Illinois. Erbacres Chief Sienna, a summer yearling born July 12, 2021, is sired by Stantons Chief-ET. Her dam, sired by Unix, is classified Very Good 85 at 2-04. A potential 12th generation Excellent, her pedigree includes Erbacres Snapple Shakira-ET EX 97 2E CAN 97, Supreme Champion at World Dairy Expo 2021 and All-American Aged Cow 2021. The buyer was Adolf Langhout, Damwoude, Netherlands 9104GS.

Lot 54 $4,000 Consigned by Miley Holstein Farms LTD, West Salem, Ohio. Miley Aflame Gypsy-Red, a fall calf born Sept. 2, 2021, is sired by Eskdale Mr Aflame-Red-ET. Her dam is VG 86 and sired by Advent-Red and with nine Very Good and Excellent dams with records up to 40,880 pounds of milk in her pedigree. The buyer was Mackensie and Madelyn Topp, Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Lot 18 $4,000 Consigned by Springhill in care of Christopher Lang, Big Prairie, Ohio. Springhill-OH DM Jespe-ET, a fall calf born Sept. 9, 2021, and sired by Val-Bisson Doorman-ET, her dam is Kingsmill Goldwyn Jewel EX 94 3E with nine generations of VG and EX dams with records up to 41,220 pounds of milk in the pedigree. The buyer was Cale, Samuel, Nolan, Max and Brynn Henry, Versailles, Ohio.

Lot 15 $3,900 Consigned by Starlight Genetics c/o Nick Randle, Lebanon, Illinois. Seeking the Soul-Red, is a Very Good 88 three year old born July 9, 2018. Sired by Luck-E Awesome-Red, her dam is Rosedale Rumor Hasit-Red-ET EX 94 2E and her second dam is Lavender Ruby Redrose-Red EX 96 4E with eight Very Good and Excellent and outstanding show winning dams in the pedigree. The buyer was Adam Derr, Dawson, Pennsylvania.

Lot 55 $3700 Consigned by Miley Holstein Farms LTD, West Salem, Ohio. Miley Rager Ginger-Red born March 3, 2020, is a bred heifer due June 2, 2022, to Braydon-P She is sired by Ri-Val-Re Rager-Red-ET and from a Piranha daughter with several VG and EX dams in the pedigree from the Miley’s “G” family. The buyer was McCoy Kinslow and Gracie Lougsdon, Park City, Kentucky.

Lot 51 $3,600 Consigned by Doughty- Valley Holstein LLC, Millersburg, Ohio. Doughty-Valley Pharo 2549, a two year old born May 21, 2019, with a completed record at 1-10 305 27330 4.6 1245 3.0 815, fresh and milking 123 lbs. of 4.4% milk. Sired by Sandy-Valley J Pharo-ET from a high producing Headliner daughter and records to 40,490 in her pedigree. The buyer was Caroline Egolf.
