COLUMBUS — Roger High, of Richwood, has been named director of livestock for Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. He will be responsible for providing the organization with technical expertise and carrying out advocacy efforts within the Public Policy department. He also will serve as executive director of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association and Ohio Sheep and Wool Program under a contract between the organizations. High previously had many of these responsibilities while holding joint positions with Ohio Farm Bureau and Ohio State University Extension; he recently retired from the university.

High holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ohio State. He served as Ohio State’s shepherd and flock manager then became sheep Extension program specialist. He has held his joint duties with Farm Bureau, Ohio State and the sheep and wool organizations since 2004. High has been active in Farm Bureau and sheep industry groups locally, at the state level and nationally. He attends Delaware Grace Church.
