TROY — Miami County Liberty will host a Town Hall at 7 p.m. April 11 at the Concord Room, 845 W. Market St., Troy, with Congressman Warren Davidson, who represents the 8th district of Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Davidson replaced Congressman John Boehner when he won a special election on June 7, 2016. He went on to win the November 2016 general election also. He has served on the House Committee on Small Business, the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, and the House Financial Services Committee. The congressman is also connected to the Republican Study Committee, the House Freedom Caucus and Second Amendment Caucus.

Davidson recently introduced the Welfare Benefit Reform and Alignment Commission Act which is legislation to consolidate redundant welfare programs. In February he cosponsored two amendments to the U.S. Constitution to impose term limits on members of Congress and he introduced with another member of Congress the Drain the Swamp Act of 2017. This legislation would require all agencies in Washington, D.C. to relocate their headquarters outside of the D.C. metro area.
