TROY — The Miami County Visitors & Convention Bureau has launched its newest website, www.HomeGrownGreat.com.

Designed by Peebles Creative Group, of Dublin, Ohio, with creative talent and input by the burueau’s team, the website has been a bureau priority for the last five months.

“Our former site was about five years old. It was time to design a fresher, younger look,” said Diana Thompson, eexecutive director. “Our team was ready to introduce a more evolved website that would feature the very best of Miami County with appeal toward younger families.”

Some of its newest features include navigation titles, including “Discover” for attractions and “Stay,” which is where visitors will find hotels and bed and breakfasts; “Attend,” which highlights events, and “Explore,” where there is information about Miami County’s communities.

The bureau is also introducing a couple of new categories to this site. “Tie the Knot” will be for those folks looking for beautiful and unique wedding venues. There is also a “Sports” navigation button that will help sports organizers and event-owners learn more about the sports venues within Miami County.

One additional new item featured on the homepage is the bureau’s latest video, filmed by Niche Productions.

“From filming the last video, we found the region’s finest videographer who captured the passion for Miami County and created an award-winning story,” said Thompson. Allen Farst, executive producer and director of Niche Productions, has created the video and narrative story.
