ST. MARYS — Midwest Electric has announced that Crystal Varno, of New Bremen, has joined the electric cooperative’s member service representative team.

A Lima Perry High School graduate and Bowling Green State University attendee, Varno brings 13 years of account, billing and secretarial experience from Grand Lake Health Systems and West Market Street Family Physicians. In her new role, she will process payments and service orders, handle phone calls and inquiries, file paperwork and help members solve problems.

“I was attracted to Midwest Electric because I was excited about the open, honest, respectful environment they have created,” Varno said. “I love how everyone really enjoys their job and each other.”

Varno and her husband, Michael, reside in New Bremen and have two children, a 9-year-old daughter, Arelia, and a 6-year-old son, Preston. When she isn’t outside biking, running or hiking with her family, Varno can be found reading a book or painting, a newfound hobby she tried out of the blue and fell in love with.

“It’s never too late to start something new,” Varno said.
