SIDNEY — Work on the Love’s Travel Stop, under construction at the corner of Vandemark and Fair roads, continues apace.

It is due to open this fall.

As reported in the Sidney-Shelby County Economic Partnership’s newsletter, Shelby County Sizzles, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, operates 460 stores in 41 states. It is expected that the local business will employ 60 to 70 people.

It will feature 14 fuel pumps for motorists, nine diesel pumps, 130 truck parking spaces and nine showers.

Several chain restaurants will have eateries in the travel stop building. They are Chester’s Chicken, Godfather’s Pizza and Hardee’s. Love’s will operate a truck tire care facility there for professional truck drivers.

“Sidney will be a great location because of Interstate 75 between Dayton and Toledo. We look forward to becoming part of the community,” Kealey Dorian, Love’s media relations specialist, told Sizzles.
