Tourism bureau launches candy trail

TROY — The Miami County Visitors & Convention Bureau has launched the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail.

The 31-stop trail highlights local, family-owned and nationally known chocolate artisans from across the state.

“Miami County, home to Winans Chocolates + Coffees, is very excited to celebrate Ohio’s own buckeye candy, with the launch of the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail,” said Diana Thompson, executive director of Miami County Visitors & Convention Bureau. “This one-of-a-kind trail connects visitors to Ohio businesses statewide to highlight everyone’s favorite Ohio treat.”

The online Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail experience includes a downloadable map outlining each stop and inside information on what makes each shop unique.

The launch of the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail is in conjunction with TourismOhio’s fall campaign, which invites visitors to declare their own holiday, or Falliday, this season with inspiration on www.ohio.org/fallidays.

The Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail is one of many that can be found on the Ohio Adventure Trails map launched by TourismOhio earlier this summer at Ohio.org.
