SIDNEY — Nancy E. Hamilton, director of gift planning at Ohio Living Dorothy Love, has earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential.

Hamilton joins more than 6,000 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation.

“Ohio Living Dorothy Love was founded with charitable donations in 1922, and donors continue to help us grow today,” said Tricia Atwood, executive director. “We’re delighted that Nancy has achieved this notable distinction for the benefit of our donors.”

Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International. They have passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills and abilities required of a fundraising executive and have agreed to uphold accountabilitystandards and the Donor Bill of Rights.

“The CFRE credential was created to identify for the public and employers those individuals who possess the knowledge, skills and commitment to perform fundraising duties in an effective and ethical manner,” said Jim Caldarola, past chairman of CFRE International. “As the certification is a voluntary achievement, the CFRE credential demonstrates a high level of commitment on the part of Nancy E. Hamilton to herself, the fundraising profession and the donors who are served.”
