DAYTON — Universal 1 Credit Union has announced its participation in Shop for Miracles, a one-day Credit Unions for Kids program raising funds for Dayton Children’s Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, U1 will donate 25 cents per debit/credit cardholder (up to $500) to Dayton Children’s. Like all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals donations, funds raised locally will stay in the community to support the hospital’s greatest needs, which include life-saving research, treatments, equipment and charitable care. The funds raised help sick children and their parents navigate through stormy days.

U1 has regularly supported fundraising for Credit Unions for Kids with staff serving on the volunteer steering committee and participating in fundraising events. U1’s community involvement exists to strengthen and provide a positive impact throughout the Miami Valley.
