TROY — The Miami County Visitors and Convention Bureau has announced the start of its second annual holiday tradition: Holiday Welcome Weekend will be Nov. 15-17 in Troy, West Milton, Tipp City, Covington and Piqua.

The shops and restaurants will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with some communities and shops offering extended hours.

“This promotion is meant to enhance awareness of our wonderful downtown shops and restaurants throughout Miami County” said Executive Director Diana Thompson. “So grab your best friend, sweetheart, mom or sister and head to a place that can handle all of your holiday shopping needs. Then treat yourself to something savory at any of our locally-owned restaurants.”

Windows in downtown Tipp City will be artfully decorated. West Milton will be celebrating its 29th annual Holiday Open House during this weekend. There will be refreshments, door prizes and much more to explore.

The village of Covington will celebrate Whoseville 2018. There will be sleigh rides from 6 to 8 p.m., Nov. 16, and photos with Santa and Whoseville characters Nov. 17, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Downtown Piqua businesses will be decorated.
