SIDNEY — Wilson Health achieved straight As for the sixth consecutive year in the Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2018 Hospital Safety Grade, released Nov. 8.

With the Hospital Safety Grades, Leapfrog assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to hospitals across the country based on how safe they are for patients.

Wilson Health’s mission is “to improve the health of the community so people can spend more time doing what they love with those they love,” said Linda Maurer, chief nursing officer of Wilson Health. “Our mission starts first and foremost with patient safety. Year after year, Wilson Health continues to be a leader in hospital quality and safety standards in the region. Receiving our sixth consecutive A rating is a testament to Wilson Health’s experienced medical, nursing and clinical staff.”

Developed under the guidance of a national expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available, hospital safety data. The Hospital Safety Grade’s methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free to the public.
