LaserFab growth plans continue into 2018.

SIDNEY — In 2018 LaserFab had another phenomenal sales year. The economy was very strong, which was not only a positive for us, but for all our local manufacturing companies. Great news for our community as a whole. The RV and Heavy Truck markets remained in strong growth from 2017 to 2018, and for us, this is what makes up a majority of our customer base. LaserFab is looking forward to what 2019 has in store.

General Manager Nicole Ellis has submitted the following report:

A new Amada Fiber Laser installation did take place in January 2018 as scheduled. The opportunities for new markets and products with this piece of equipment provides us the latest technology to keep up with current competition, as well as grow the company that began with two employees, owned and operated solely by Jamie Ellis, and now holds 20+ employees with so many more capabilities and expertise. The 8 shelf tower system was installed in July 2018 to complete this unique machine for lights out cutting capabilities. By far, a great investment for our company, customers, employees, and our future.

LaserFab began operations in 2006 at 1528 Fair Road in Sidney. Second quarter 2018 discussions and plans for a plant move began. With the increased diverse market we developed over the years, along with the strong economy, the need to expand was necessary. As of August 1, 2018, LaserFab was in full operation in a new facility located at 2339 Industrial Drive in Sidney. We went from 22,000 square feet of operations to 41,000 square feet. Growth is always a high priority in the manufacturing world, and this increased space allows for us to do just that and so much more. We can also better focus our attention on safety of the employees, a clean and organized work environment, and technology upgrades to work with the continuously changing cultures.

Jamie Ellis continues to work on his semi-retirement plans, while helping to develop me and my growing management team to carry on the legacy he began many years ago.

Customer focus, quality product, safety, and on-time delivery remain our top priority. Let us be your one-stop-shop for all your fabrication needs in 2019 & for many years to come!
