CELINA — Wright State University-Lake Campus Business Enterprise Center is offering workshops for business owners and their employees.

Since 1985 the Business Enterprise Center (BEC) has helped thousands of new business start-ups. Starting in February they are offering non-credit classed at the Lake Campus.

One of the classes offered is called Excel for Business. In this series of classes, students will learn how to create a spreadsheet, input necessary data, create charges and reports, and learn how to use Excel formulas in basic to complex computations. Join Instructor Carla Hirschfeld as she delves into the world of references, charts, and functions. Certificates of completion will be printed for all participants completing both sessions of the total 12-hour workshop.

The basic/intermediate classes are offered Feb. 1 and 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. (six hours). The intermediate/advanced classes are offered Feb. 8 and 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. (six hours). Both classes will be held in Dwyer Hall Room 192. The cost is $65 per person for each set of workshops or $125 for all four classes.

The other class, entitled Resumes and Interviews, will get your resume and interviewing skills up-to-date. Instructors Carol Jones and Rachel Stoker will get you up-to-date with current resume formatting trends. Learn the “do’s” and “don’ts” of interviewing. Create or refresh your resume to clearly reflect your skills and abilities. Prepare yourself to ace an interview while presenting yourself professionally. All ages, majors, and careers are welcome to attend. This class is free to current Wright State University students and alumni.

You may attend class on Feb. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Dwyer Hall Room 229 or Feb. 27 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Trenary Hall Room 111. The cost is $35 per person and free to current WSU students and alumni.
