SIDNEY — “Kirk NationaLease entered 2020 with hopes of achieving new business and accomplishing significant growth with some of our customers also in need of our vital maintenance services,” said President Mike Trabue. “Due to the anticipated growth, we planned on several organizational improvements to meet the needs of our employees which in turn would help our customers experience the kind of services they need to rely on to perform their company’s functions.”

His report continues:

Kirk recruited two additional corporate trainers that travel to our 25 locations spread among eight states in order to work with our Diesel Technicians and Trailer mechanics face-to-face and take them to the next levels of our service business. Both trainers have experienced careers in our business and by owning their own repair facilities understand exactly what the customer expects and the knowledge all our technicians need to repair vehicles correctly and efficiently. Additionally, Kirk has implemented a Learning Management System (LMS), that is a terrific tool allowing all of our technicians the ability to log on to the site and instantly be updated on their personal training activities and future plans for learning. The tool is easy to navigate and will assist in giving the technicians another tool to fortify their personal growth within our company.

Kirk also brought on board a recruiter that spends their entire day seeking quality applicants to find the technicians we desire to have working for our company. Those improved efforts have paid off, and as we open our new locations we have the confidence we’ll be able to staff the shops with very qualified personnel for our customers. Additionally, Kirk added several Sales staff personnel. One is due to our expansion into the Columbus and Zanesville markets with customers that are major names in the hamburger bun business and another in the soda business. Another sales representative was added to handle our growth in the Findlay, Ohio, area where Kirk had some accounts that needed timely attention along with taking over competitor accounts that were in need of service. Lastly, we hired a local sales and service representative to help sustain the business developed in our local markets. Also, two of our shop managers have been promoted to the role of regional operations managers in order to develop and assist our shops in their day-to-day activities.

Kirk opened new shop facilities in Huber Heights, Columbus, and Findlay, Ohio, along with Georgetown, Kentucky, Laurinburg, North Carolina and Charleston, South Carolina. Plans are on the table for opening in 2021 in Newark, Hebron and Zanesville, Ohiom and Knoxville, Tennessee, Vincennes, Indiana, Savannah, Georgia, and Owensboro, Kentucky. This growth results from our strategic business partners and their expectation of the level of care and sense of urgency we’ve demonstrated.

Again in 2020, Kirk NationaLease achieved National recognition among our peers for providing exemplary service to all NationaLease customers. This award reflects the pride our employees take in their jobs on a daily basis.

Sustainable energy platforms is a subject a lot of our customers approach us with frequently in today’s environment, and we intend to assist them with some of our equipment patents recently developed. We have several more in the later stages of development and are excited to see the applications they can be utilized in, which will transform product delivery and add efficiencies to our customers’ processes.
